Our 14th BWL Chili Cook-off on June 5 was triply blessed: We had postcard-perfect weather, record attendance (more than 12,000!), and the most chili contestants ever.
The biggest winners were the great, local nonprofits that will receive a share of the proceeds. They are: Sparrow Foundation, the Hope Scholars Connections Program and Impression 5 Science Center/Adopt-A-River.
The Lansing Board of Water & Light could not have pulled off this amazing community event without the support of many sponsors, partners and volunteers.
